Y.P. Winfield was established in 1988 by three close friends: Daisy Phandi, Mariaty Yananto, and Moniju Teh.

These three friends sought to create an environment where not only the English language was taught but crucial character traits were instilled and nurtured in their students.

They yearned to invest of young people and give back to their community and country.
